About the Role

PennEngineering Mexico is looking for a Production Supervisor to coordinate and oversee manufacturing operations, ensuring compliance with production schedules, quality standards, and process optimization.

This position will work closely with Engineering, Quality, Materials, and Maintenance to ensure an efficient production flow while driving continuous improvement initiatives within the assigned area.

Requirements:

Education

- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.

Experience & Knowledge

- Minimum of 3 years of experience in production supervision within the metal-mechanics manufacturing industry, preferred.
- Proven experience in team leadership and production process coordination is required.
- Ability to follow production schedules and monitor KPIs to measure departmental performance.
- Knowledge of basic safety, hygiene, and civil protection regulations.
- Ability to speak, read, and write in English, preferred.
- Familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or similar platforms for production control.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.




- Basic knowledge of Quality Management Systems and problem-solving methodologies is a plus.

Responsibilities:

- Coordinate and oversee compliance with the production schedule.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as machine efficiency, labor efficiency, scrap, OTD, and COPQ, taking corrective action when targets are not achieved.
- Ensure optimal utilization of resources and material availability for production.
- Assign tasks and monitor team performance through weekly meetings and daily production tracking.
- Develop, implement, and ensure compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Conduct root cause analysis when issues arise and implement actions to correct and improve production processes.
- Manage team-related matters, including work schedules, vacation, and time-off requests.
- Identify training and development needs to enhance team performance.
- Collaborate with Quality and Maintenance to minimize rejections and improve process stability.
