CIMMYT is looking for a dedicated Accountant to join our finance department. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing day-to-day accounting operations, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with established financial policies and procedures. This role requires a detail-oriented professional with excellent numerical skills and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of financial integrity.

Key Responsibilities Maintain accurate and complete financial records in accordance with organizational standards.
Process accounts payable and receivable transactions efficiently.
Perform bank and account reconciliations regularly.
Support budgeting and financial forecasting activities.
Prepare internal and external financial reports as required.
Assist with audits and regulatory compliance filings.




Collaborate effectively with team members to ensure smooth financial operations.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Demonstrated experience in accounting or finance roles, preferably within international or non-profit sectors.
Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations.
Proficient with accounting software systems and Microsoft Office suite.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Good analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Self-motivated and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
