Director, Supply Chain & Purchasing

Location: Mexico City, Mexico | Hybrid – Minimum 4 Days Onsite

Lead Supply Chain Strategy & Operations

We are seeking an experienced Director of Supply Chain & Purchasing to lead purchasing, supplier management, distribution, inventory, and supply chain operations across Mexico.

This is a high-impact leadership opportunity responsible for ensuring the continuous, efficient, and cost-effective supply of food, packaging, promotional products, and related materials across a large restaurant network.

The role will serve as a key liaison between senior leadership, franchisees, suppliers, distributors, finance, operations, marketing, R&D;, quality assurance, and other internal stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead purchasing, distribution, inventory, and supply chain management activities across Mexico.
- Oversee supplier relationships, commercial contracts, negotiations, performance, and compliance.
- Ensure product availability, quality, service levels, supplier capacity, and competitive costs.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with franchisees, suppliers, distributors, and senior stakeholders.
- Partner with Marketing, Operations, R&D;, Quality Assurance, and Finance on promotions and new product introductions.
- Lead inventory planning, recalls, product holds, obsolete inventory, and supply continuity initiatives.
- Manage distribution agreements and reconciliation processes.
- Partner with Finance on budgets, supplier rebate programs, pricing, inventory, and financial performance.




- Identify and implement process improvements and technology enhancements across supply chain operations.
- Lead, coach, and develop the purchasing team.
- Present strategic plans, budgets, business reviews, and recommendations to senior leadership.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree is a plus.
- 6–8+ years of relevant experience in procurement, purchasing, supply chain, distribution, or related functions.
- Strong experience managing suppliers, contracts, negotiations, and purchasing strategies.
- Proven leadership experience with cross-functional and external stakeholders.
- Strong analytical, strategic thinking, negotiation, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities, including executive-level audiences.
- Experience managing budgets and understanding the financial impact of supply chain decisions.
- Fluent in English and Spanish.
- Import/export experience is a plus.
- Willingness to travel between Mexico and the U.S., as needed.
- Ability to work a minimum of four days per week onsite at the corporate office in Mexico City.
