As an Engineer I, Electromechanical Design, you will support the development and optimization of electromechanical products, subsystems, and platforms for low-voltage electrical distribution equipment. You will combine mechanical and electrical engineering principles to create innovative, reliable, and manufacturable solutions that meet customer, regulatory, and business requirements. In this role, you will contribute to the design and development of power panelboards, switchboards, distribution systems, busbar assemblies, enclosures, and related low-voltage equipment, while supporting the entire product development lifecycle from concept generation through product release. You will leverage engineering analysis, simulation, prototyping, testing, and validation methodologies to improve product performance, manufacturability, safety, reliability, and cost competitiveness. Working independently with general guidance, you will apply specialized technical knowledge to solve engineering challenges and deliver high-quality technical solutions that support business objectives. What will you do? Product Design & Development Support the design, development, and enhancement of low-voltage electrical distribution and electromechanical products. Translate technical requirements and customer needs into reliable and innovative engineering solutions. Participate in product development activities from concept design through validation and product release. Electromechanical & Power Distribution Design Support the design and optimization of electromechanical assemblies and low-voltage power distribution systems. Contribute to the development of products such as switchboards, panelboards, motor control centers (MCCs), and industrial control panels. Evaluate design performance, reliability, safety, and serviceability requirements. Engineering Verification & Validation Utilize CAD tools, engineering analysis, and prototype testing to support product development and optimization. Participate in verification and validation activities, including testing, issue resolution, and design improvements. Collaborate with quality, certification, and testing teams to ensure compliance with applicable standards. Document design decisions, validation results, and technical findings. Cross-Functional Collaboration Partner with manufacturing, quality, supply chain, and project management teams to support successful product development and implementation. Participate in problem-solving and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product performance and customer satisfaction. What qualifications will make you successful? Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Physics, or a related engineering discipline. Technical Experience in new product development.



Understanding of electrical engineering principles. Experience with design-for-manufacturing, design-for-assembly, value engineering, modular design, and product standardization. Strong CAD capabilities and experience managing complex assemblies. Mechanical design fundamentals including materials, structural integrity, tolerance stack-up, and surface treatments. Thermal management, electrical clearances, creepage requirements, and short-circuit withstand considerations. Knowledge of electrical protection devices, busbar systems, grounding concepts, and industrial power distribution practices. Availability to work in a Hybrid scheme in our MDIC Location. Professional Skills Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Experience applying structured problem-solving methodologies to medium and complex technical challenges. Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently with limited supervision. Effective communication and collaboration skills in integral and cross-functional environments.
