As a Purchasing Specialist at FLSmidth & Co. AS, you will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and procuring goods and services essential for our integral operations, ensuring cost-effectiveness, quality, and timely delivery.

Job Responsibilities

- Identify and evaluate potential suppliers based on quality, price, and delivery timelines.
- Prepare and process purchase orders and requisitions, ensuring accuracy and adherence to company policies.
- Negotiate contracts, terms, and conditions with suppliers to achieve favorable agreements.
- Monitor supplier performance and resolve any issues related to quality, delivery, or invoicing.
- Collaborate with internal departments (e.g., engineering, production, logistics) to understand their procurement needs and ensure seamless supply chain operations.
- Maintain accurate purchasing records, including supplier information, order details, and contract agreements.
- Conduct market research to identify new products, suppliers, and industry trends.
- Participate in cost reduction initiatives and process improvement projects.
- Ensure compliance with FLSmidth & Co. AS's ethical sourcing guidelines and sustainability policies.

Job Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration,



or a related field.
- 2-4 years of experience in a purchasing or procurement role, preferably within an industrial or manufacturing environment.
- Proven negotiation skills and experience in supplier relationship management.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across diverse teams.
- Proficiency in procurement software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Fluency in English; additional language skills are a plus.
- Knowledge of international trade regulations and customs procedures is desirable.
