Programming Engineer
The
Programming Engineer
is responsible for developing, optimizing, maintaining, and validating parametric models and CNC cutting programs to drive systems and automated wood processing machinery.
Your focus will be on optimizing material performance, standardizing cutting routines, and efficiently translating product design files into reliable production code.
Responsibilities
Develop, manage, and optimize CNC programs using
Microvellum
software for automated cutting, routing, and woodworking machinery systems.
Parametrically model and generate
Microvellum
production-ready databases, hardware assignments, toolpath strategies, and nesting designs for wood component panels.
Analyze design plans, architectural and engineering specifications, and CAD models to create efficient programming solutions for wood cutting and assembly.
Define and optimize cutting parameters, feed rates, spindle speeds, toolpath strategies,



and nesting algorithms to maximize material utilization and minimize waste.
Directly integrate
Microvellum
outputs with wood cutting systems, CNC routers, panel saws, and automated machinery in the production area.
Requirements
Advanced proficiency in
Microvellum
(Workcenter, toolpath generation, library management, and parametric modeling).
Solid knowledge of
AutoCAD
,
SolidWorks
, and CNC systems for wood cutting, as well as G-code optimization.
Experience applying
Kaizen
,
5S
, and
Lean Manufacturing
methodologies to optimize material nesting and reduce cycle times.
American Visa:
Required for travel and training as necessary.
English:
Advanced.
Availability for adaptable schedules.
