Required:

Minimum 4+ years of experience in Applications Support in Unix, SQL & Unix Scripting. Knowledge with Java/Python. Excellent communication and analytical skills. Handson exp in SQL: Know how to write PL/SQL statement Good understanding of joins Good understanding of performance tuning of queries Knowledge of commands to check DB health and query debugging Experience in Unix: know advanced shell commands like – substitution, disk space check and cleaning, awk/sed, no-hup, script execution be able to tail logs and search for specific patterns, errors, stack trace know basic shell scripting to automate repeated manual tasks like running SQL for report generation, repeated user queries that can be automated, etc. Know FTP, archiving and other commands needed for day-to-day batch support Java knowledge: Should know basics of OOPs.

Should be able to read through and understand the java code. Basic debugging, exception handling memory management and garbage collection Preferred (Any): Experience in Sybase/DB2/RDBMS. Experience with Java/Python. Experience with job scheduler (Ex. Autosys), Ticketing tool/Jira. Experience with IDE is a plus.
