Job Description Develop and optimize rubber compounds with the focus on industrial hoses and expansion joints Lead compound development projects and participate in other R&D; projects Drive activities to reduce our compound and raw material cost as well as complexity Drive the ideation and development of new innovative material technologies, with focus on performance, processability, cost efficiency and sustainability Support the industrialization of new compounds in close collaboration with other departments Support troubleshootings related to material topics in close collaboration with plants, quality and business functions Support the creation and implementation of new processes and software applications incl. AI-based tools Maintain the interfaces with internal customers, labs, product development, plants and business functions Qualifications Master’s degree (Ph D preferred) in Chemistry / Chemical Engineering / Material Science or similar fields of study,



preferentially with focus on polymer or rubber chemistry Several years of work experience in the rubber and plastics industry desirable Outstanding chemical understanding, such as structure–property relationships, designing test plans etc. Basic knowledge of rubber materials, compounding and related processing Analytical and scientific workstyle Self-driven team player with a high degree of ownership and capability to work independently Pro‑active and structured problem‑solving mindset Project management experience Good international and intercultural communication skills incl. capability to work in a integral environment Fluent English language skills (oral and written) Willingness to travel (up to 10% of your time) #J-18808-Ljbffr
