PROFILE DEFINITION To lead the design, development, and integration of Interior Instrument Panel (IP) systems and Cross-Car Beam (CCB) architectures with a specialized focus on HVAC integration, ensuring optimal packaging, functionality, and performance. This role drives innovation in cockpit systems, ducting solutions, and interior components while aligning with vehicle-level requirements for safety, ergonomics, and manufacturability.
TECHNICAL SKILLS
5y+ years of automotive/commerical vehicle engineering experience within HVAC and Interior Instrument Panel
Experience in systems and Cross-Car Beam (CCB) architectures
3y+ CAD experience (CATIA 3Dx, 3D Expereince or V5)
GD&T; and tolerance analysis
DFMA & Serviceability principles
RESPONSIBILITIES
Define component and system engineering requirements.
Create and develop engineering designs and concepts.
Perform packaging, tolerance, and feasibility studies.
Develop CAD models, drawings, and engineering releases.
Support CAE, prototype builds, testing, Sourcing and validation activities.
Resolve design, manufacturing, quality, and launch issues.
Collaborate with Internal cross-functional teams, suppliers, and customers.
Manage engineering changes and documentation.
Proven background in concept-to-production vehicle development and problem-solving
