This position is focused on Agronomists, Horticulturists, or professionals in related fields with 1–2 years of experience in agricultural research who are interested in developing their careers in Research and Development (Breeding). Responsible for supporting the execution of the Breeding team's activities, leading the team and making decisions to ensure reliable results for the breeding program. The work is performed in office, nursery, and field settings. During the course of their work, employees may be exposed to weather conditions, insects, bees, pollen,



fertilizers, and agricultural chemicals. The position requires working in hot greenhouse conditions, as well as outdoors in rain and sun for extended periods. ESSENTIAL DUTIES (Other duties may be assigned): Responsible for the accurate field data collection, recording, data entry, and extraction of data in the Fall Creek database to support the variety development program. Prepare reports and analyze data summarizing progress in post-harvest analyses. Execute planting, inventory management, and label blueberry selections. Assists with field fruit evaluations including fruit sample collection and testing Assist in tissue sampling for laboratory analysis. Collaborate in data collection for patent registrations. Coordinate the execution of department field activities. Assists with controlled crosses and grows seedlings. Receive in vitro material and schedule its transplanting. EDUCATION REQUIRED: Bachelor’s degree in related fields (agriculture, horticulture, biology, biotechnology) . EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Experience in blueberry crop management. More than 1 months working in a Research and Development (RD) position within the agronomy field. LANGUAGE REQUIRED AND COMPETENCES: Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish. Strong computer skills with excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office. Excellent communication, and cross-cultural collaboration skills.
