As a Mexico - Assurance Private - 1 - Associate, you will engage in providing independent and objective assessments of financial statements, internal controls, and other information to enhance credibility and reliability for various stakeholders. Within our Assurance practice, you will focus on obtaining reasonable confidence about whether the financial statements are free from material misstatement, whether due to fraud or error, and issue a report that includes the auditor's perspective.
As an Associate, you will be driven by curiosity and contribute to client engagements while developing your skills and knowledge to deliver quality work. You will adapt to working with diverse clients and team members, each presenting unique challenges and scope. This role emphasizes learning, adaptability, and teamwork, allowing you to build meaningful client connections and grow your personal brand by deepening your technical knowledge of firm services and technology resources.
In this role at PwC Acceleration Center Mexico, you will take ownership and consistently deliver work that drives value for our clients and success as a team. You will navigate through the firm, building a brand for yourself and opening doors to more opportunities.
Responsibilities




- Conducting financial statement audits to evaluate compliance with regulations and assess governance and risk management processes
- Applying auditing methodologies to gather information and analyze financial data for accuracy and reliability
- Reviewing and verifying financial documents to identify discrepancies and validate compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Generally Accepted Auditing Standards (GAAS)
- Collaborating with team members to support client engagements and deliver quality work in a fast-paced environment
- Utilizing data analysis and interpretation skills to discern patterns and provide insights into financial trends
- Developing a learning mindset to enhance personal growth and contribute effectively to team objectives
- Engaging in active listening and communication to appreciate diverse perspectives and express ideas clearly
- Implementing internal controls and compliance auditing to validate data security and integrity
- Participating in project management tasks to manage client expectations and drive successful outcomes
What You Must Have
- Currently pursuing or have completed a Bachelor's degree in the following field of study: Accounting
- At least a 3.0 overall GPA Before starting full-time at PwC, meet the educational requirements to be eligible to sit for the CPA exam in your intended state of employment.
- Oral and written proficiency in English required
