We are looking for an Accounts Payable Specialist to join our Finance team. This role is responsible for managing end-to-end accounts payable processes, ensuring timely and accurate invoice processing, payment reconciliation, vendor management, and compliance with internal controls and local tax regulations.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and experienced working in high-volume environments using SAP.
Key Responsibilities
Accounts Payable Management
- Review, validate, process, and record vendor invoices and payments.
- Ensure invoices are properly approved according to company policies.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in SAP and related financial systems.
Reconciliations & Analysis
- Perform regular vendor account reconciliations.
- Analyze outstanding balances and identify discrepancies, duplicate invoices, or potential issues.
- Prepare accounts payable reports and provide insights to support decision-making.
Vendor Relationship Management
- Respond to vendor inquiries regarding invoices and payments.
- Maintain effective communication with suppliers to ensure smooth payment processing.
Compliance & Internal Controls
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Support compliance with local accounting and tax regulations.
- Assist with internal and external audits related to accounts payable processes.
Continuous Improvement
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce processing times.
- Recommend process enhancements and system improvements within the finance function.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of Accounts Payable experience.
- Experience working in medium-to-large organizations.
- Strong SAP experience, particularly within Accounts Payable modules.
- Hands-on experience with MIRO-FB60 transactions.
- Knowledge of CFDI 4.0, accounting principles, and tax compliance.
- Advanced Excel skills.
- Proficiency in English (written and spoken)
