About the Role

We are seeking a Backend Software Engineer to build, maintain, and scale robust backend services, APIs, and cloud-native microservices. In this role, you will work closely with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment to deliver secure, testable, and maintainable software that powers core business applications.

Key Responsibilities

- Service & API Development: Design, build, test, and maintain high-performance RESTful APIs and backend microservices using C# and .NET Core.
- Architecture & Clean Code: Implement object-oriented programming (OOP) principles, design patterns (e.g., Repository, Factory, Singleton, Decorator), and SOLID guidelines with an emphasis on Dependency Injection and asynchronous programming.
- Database Management: Design, query, and optimize relational and NoSQL databases (e.g., Azure SQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Azure Cosmos DB, MongoDB).
- Cloud & DevOps Integration: Containerize applications using Docker, deploy services to Kubernetes clusters, and collaborate on CI/CD pipeline automation.
- Testing & Quality Assurance: Write automated unit tests, participate in API contract testing, and actively participate in code reviews as both author and reviewer.
- Security & Observability: Enforce secure coding standards (OAuth 2.0, JWT, data encryption, input sanitization) and monitor service health using logging and observability tools (e.g., Dynatrace, Splunk, Azure Application Insights).
- Documentation & Collaboration: Document APIs using Swagger/OpenAPI, maintain clear architectural diagrams and team wiki pages, and participate actively in Scrum ceremonies.

Qualifications & Core Requirements





- Technical Competencies

- Programming & Frameworks:
- Proficiency in C# / .NET Core (or strong foundational experience in backend languages such as Python, Java, Go, or Node.js).
- Strong grasp of data structures, algorithms, generics, collections, LINQ/lambdas, stream processing, and exception handling.
- Hands-on experience with web frameworks such as ASP.NET Core MVC/Web API.
- Deep understanding of Asynchronous Programming (async/await, Task handling).
- API & Web Protocols:
- Solid understanding of HTTP verbs, status codes, request/response headers, cookies, and socket communication.
- Experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs (and familiarity with GraphQL as an asset).
- Database Technologies:
- Practical experience writing efficient SQL queries and interacting with relational databases (SQL DB, MySQL, PostgreSQL).
- Familiarity with NoSQL data stores (e.g., Azure Cosmos DB, MongoDB).
- Testing & Debugging:
- Experience writing unit tests using standard frameworks (e.g., xUnit, NUnit).
- Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills using IDE diagnostic tools (breakpoints, stack traces, thread inspection).
- Security & Authentication:
- Working knowledge of OAuth 2.0, JWT tokens, authorization scopes,



and digital signatures.
- Awareness of core security practices: data encryption, hashing, input sanitization, and protection against common vulnerabilities (SQLi, XSS).

2. Cloud & Infrastructure (Essential for Mid-Level / Preferred for Junior)
- Containerization: Experience creating containers using Docker and Dockerfile configurations.
- Orchestration & Cloud: Awareness or hands-on experience with Kubernetes (pods, nodes, basic kubectl commands) and cloud environments (preferably Microsoft Azure: Blob Storage, Service Bus/Message Queues, Managed Databases).
- CI/CD & Version Control: Proficient with Git (GitHub, GitLab, or Bitbucket) and automated build/release pipelines.

3. Professional & Interpersonal Skills
- Agile & Collaboration: Experience working within an Agile/Scrum team (stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives).
- Communication & Documentation: Clear written and verbal communication skills; ability to document solutions in Confluence/Wiki and maintain architecture diagrams.
- Continuous Learning: Proactive problem solver with an eagerness to learn new technologies and evolve coding best practices.

Preferred Qualifications / Nice-to-Have

- Experience with cloud architecture concepts (Availability Zones, Geo-redundancy, API Gateways).
- Familiarity with enterprise monitoring and logging suites (Dynatrace, Splunk, Azure Application Insights).
- Hands-on experience creating or maintaining automated CI/CD deployment pipelines.
- Experience with end-to-end (E2E) or API contract testing frameworks.
