Position Overview

HR Done For You, a human resources consulting and executive recruiting firm, has been retained to conduct a confidential search for an experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) on behalf of a privately held organization operating within the trading, distribution, and supply-chain sector.

This is a full-time, in-office executive position. The selected candidate may be based at one of the company's offices in Querétaro, San Juan del Río, or Salamanca, Mexico.

Our client operates in a dynamic, international, transaction-driven environment involving purchasing, inventory, vendor relationships, customer accounts, logistics, distribution, and working-capital management.

We are seeking a strategic and hands-on financial executive who can strengthen the organization's financial infrastructure, optimize operations, and support continued growth.

Due to the international nature of the business, professional fluency in both English and Spanish, written and spoken, is required. The CFO will regularly communicate with executives, business partners, and teams in both languages.

The CFO will serve as a key member of the executive leadership team and partner closely with senior leadership to provide financial insight, strengthen operational discipline, manage risk, and guide strategic business decisions.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead the organization's overall financial strategy, planning, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
- Serve as a strategic financial partner to executive leadership.
- Oversee accounting operations and ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Manage cash flow, liquidity, and working capital.
- Oversee accounts receivable, accounts payable, and inventory from a financial perspective.
- Analyze revenue, gross margins, operating expenses, inventory performance, and profitability.
- Evaluate profitability by product, customer, channel, and market.
- Develop financial models to evaluate growth opportunities,



investments, and strategic initiatives.
- Analyze the financial impact of purchasing, inventory, and supply-chain decisions.
- Provide financial oversight of logistics, freight, warehousing, and distribution costs.
- Evaluate vendor and customer terms and their impact on cash flow and profitability.
- Establish and strengthen financial controls, policies, approval processes, and reporting standards.
- Ensure compliance with applicable accounting, tax, regulatory, and reporting requirements.
- Maintain relationships with banks, auditors, tax advisors, accountants, and other financial partners.
- Partner with operations, sales, purchasing, HR, and other business functions.
- Identify opportunities for financial process improvement, automation, and increased efficiency.
- Identify financial and operational risks and develop appropriate mitigation strategies.
- Participate in financing activities and other major strategic and corporate initiatives.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Significant progressive financial leadership experience, ideally at the CFO, VP of Finance, Finance Director, Controller, or equivalent level.
- Experience within trading, distribution, wholesale, import/export, logistics, supply chain, or inventory-intensive businesses.
- Experience supporting international operations or organizations operating across multiple markets.
- Strong knowledge of working-capital management, cash-flow forecasting, inventory, margin analysis, and profitability.
- Demonstrated experience developing and strengthening financial controls and reporting processes.
- Strong financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling capabilities.
- Experience working with banks, auditors, accountants, tax professionals, and other financial institutions.




- High degree of integrity, discretion, and professional judgment.
- Professional fluency in both English and Spanish, written and spoken, is required.
- Ability to conduct executive-level meetings, financial presentations, and professional business communications in both languages.
- Ability to work in-office full-time from Querétaro, San Juan del Río, or Salamanca.

Leadership Profile The successful candidate will be a strategic financial leader with strong analytical capabilities and commercial business judgment.

This individual should understand how purchasing, inventory, pricing, margins, customers, vendors, logistics, and working capital directly impact financial performance.

The adecuado candidate will be proactive, results-oriented, highly accountable, and capable of building processes and controls that support growth without creating unnecessary bureaucracy.

Location & Work Arrangement

This is an in-office position and is not a remote role.

The selected CFO will be based at one of the following office locations:

- Querétaro, Querétaro
- San Juan del Río, Querétaro
- Salamanca, Guanajuato

Candidates should either currently reside within a reasonable commuting distance of one of these locations or be willing to relocate.

Business travel may be required based on organizational needs.

Compensation

Competitive executive compensation package commensurate with experience, qualifications, and market.
