The Gross Profit Analyst is responsible for monitoring and validating the accuracy, completeness, and integrity of gross profit reporting across the organization. Approximately 90% of the role consists of detailed transaction-level reviews, reconciliations, exception analysis, and follow-up for product sales orders and service-related time and project activity. The analyst will investigate potential accounting, data, integration, system, and script-related issues; communicate actionable findings to the U.S.

Corporate

Accounting team and other responsible stakeholders; and verify that identified issues are corrected. This is a specialized, data-intensive position that requires exceptional attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently with hundreds of thousands of records across NetSuite, Salesforce, Snowflake, Power BI, and Excel.

Essential Functions:

- Dedicate approximately 90% of working time to the detailed review, analysis, and reconciliation of gross profit transactions and related data.
- Review gross profit for product activity, including sales orders, invoices, credits, revenue, and associated product costs.
- Review gross profit for service activity, including project revenue, employee and contractor time, labor costs, and other project-related costs.
- Analyze revenue, cost of sales, gross profit, and gross margin percentages to identify unusual, incomplete, inconsistent, or potentially inaccurate transactions.
- Review large transaction populations and develop effective, repeatable techniques to identify exceptions, outliers, trends, and data-quality issues.
- Validate the accuracy and completeness of financial and operational dimensions, including product type, practice, region, department, and sales representative.
- Reconcile Salesforce information to NetSuite, including relevant customer, opportunity, order, transaction, revenue, cost, and gross profit data.
- Develop and maintain recurring reconciliations among NetSuite, Salesforce, Snowflake, Power BI, and other applicable data sources.
- Identify missing, duplicate, delayed, or incorrectly processed transactions and determine whether issues result from accounting entries, source data, mappings, integrations, scripts, or other system and process failures.
- Investigate gross profit exceptions, trace the likely root cause, and assemble clear supporting evidence for remediation.
- Prepare actionable exception reports and communicate identified issues to Corporate Accounting, Finance, Sales Operations,



Professional Services, IT, or other responsible stakeholders for correction.
- Maintain an exception log, track issues through resolution, and verify that corrections are complete and accurately reflected in gross profit reporting.
- Monitor the completeness and accuracy of integrations and automated processes affecting gross profit reporting and promptly escalate suspected failures.
- Support daily, weekly, and month-end gross profit review processes by reporting unresolved items, trends, and areas of risk on a timely basis.
- Maintain reconciliation schedules, review evidence, and process documentation in accordance with internal control requirements; recommend improvements to review procedures, reporting, system configurations, data mappings, and automated controls.
- Assist with internal and external audit requests related to gross profit reporting, reconciliations, and associated controls.

Required Skills/Abilities/Competencies

- Strong understanding of revenue, cost of sales, gross profit, gross margin, and related accounting concepts.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze and reconcile large volumes of financial or operational data with a high degree of accuracy.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, lookups, conditional formulas, and other techniques for reviewing large datasets.
- Experience working with an enterprise resource planning system; NetSuite experience is strongly preferred.
- Experience working with Salesforce or another customer relationship management platform is preferred.
- Experience using Power BI, Snowflake, or similar reporting and data-warehouse tools is preferred.
- SQL experience is preferred but not required.
- Exceptional attention to detail, intellectual curiosity, and strong analytical and investigative skills.
- Ability to distinguish accounting issues from source-data, mapping, integration, script, and reporting-logic issues.
- Ability to develop efficient, risk-based review methods rather than relying solely on manual transaction-by-transaction review.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills,



including the ability to manage a significant volume of exceptions through resolution.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain complex issues and provide specific, actionable information to accounting and technical teams.
- Professional proficiency in English, with the ability to work effectively with a U.S.-based Corporate Accounting team.
- Ability to work independently in a highly focused role while collaborating effectively across Finance, Corporate Accounting, Sales Operations, Professional Services, and IT.
- Commitment to continuous improvement, data integrity, and the accuracy of financial reporting.

Education and Experience:

- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business analytics, information systems, or a related field.
- Three to five years of experience in accounting, financial analysis, revenue or margin analysis, financial systems, data reconciliation, or a related area or two years of public accounting experience
- Experience reviewing gross profit across both product and service revenue streams is preferred.
- Experience in a technology reseller, professional services, managed services, or other transaction-intensive business is preferred.
- Familiarity with sales order, project accounting, time-entry, revenue recognition, and cost-allocation processes is preferred.
- Experience identifying issues caused by system integrations, automated scripts, reporting logic, or master-data configurations is preferred.
- Experience operating in a SOX-compliant or similarly controlled financial-reporting environment is preferred.
