Leading company in the manufacturing/maquiladora sector is seeking an Import/Export Supervisor to join our team
Requirements:
- Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in International Trade, Foreign Trade, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role.
- Language: Advanced English is mandatory.
Knowledge & Skills:
- Mexican Customs Law (Ley Aduanera).
- IMMEX program guidelines and compliance
- Import and Export documentation.
- CUMPLE system management.
- C-TPAT guidelines.
- Direct contact and coordination with Customs Brokers.
- Software: Proficient in MS Office Suite.
- Supervise the daily activities of the Import/Export Coordinators.
- Oversee import and export operations for presentation before both Mexican and US Customs.
- Coordinate daily shipment movements with carriers.
- Maintain close communication with clients regarding legal changes impacting their shipments, and provide logistics updates to management.
- Manage the inventory control system and pedimento discharges.
- Assist in Foreign Trade audits and home visits (visitas domiciliarias) until completion.
- Supervise virtual import and export operations for various clients.
- Actively monitor and control the Certified Maquiladora program (Maquila Certificada), ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations.
- Conduct internal audits of fixed assets.
- Supervise the registration of electronic signatures (firmas electrónicas) needed for weekly operations.
- Track transportation until shipments reach their assigned final destination.
- Optimize resources to drive cost savings for the company.
- Ensure the timely update of Reglas Octavas and PROSEC programs for imports.
- Update VAT/IVA certifications and support C-TPAT application processes.
- Control the labeling of temporary equipment.
- Manage virtual pedimento movements.
- Meet annual performance objectives.
- Comply with Environmental Management System (EMS/SGA) procedures.
- Comply with Quality Management System (QMS/SAC) procedures and the Company’s Quality Policy.
- Adhere to company safety procedures and internal labor regulations at all times.
- Complete specific applicable training, certifications, and development plans for current and future roles.
- Promote and execute Continuous Improvement (Mejora Continua) projects.
- Align with and promote the Company’s Culture and Values.
- Perform other duties and assignments as required.
