alten mexico as a subsidiary of the alten group is currently working with international clients, and we are looking for a cfd analyst who will contribute to the development of an iron air battery , a large-scale energy storage solution, with flow and heat-transfer simulation for scrubber, piping, cold-weather, and altitude-related work.

key responsibilities

- develop cfd models for scrubber vessel concepts, integrated ducting, outlet filtration, piping, fittings, and baffles.
- assess flow rate, pressure drop, flowback risk, thermal impacts, and distribution uniformity.
- support altitude and cold-weather design assessments using available requirements and test results.
- perform design iterations and recommend geometry or component changes.
- document model setup, assumptions, mesh independence, results, risks, and validation needs.

requirements

must‑have qualifications

- bachelor’s or advanced degree in mechanical, aerospace, or related field.
- 5+ years of cfd or thermal-fluids analysis experience.
- hands-on experience with cfd software such as ansys fluent, star-ccm+, or equivalent.
- internal-flow cfd, pressure drop, flow distribution, recirculation, multiphase awareness,



and thermal/heat-transfer analysis.
- strong fundamentals in fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, heat transfer, and numerical methods.
- mesh generation, turbulence modeling, boundary-condition definition, convergence assessment, and result verification.
- flow balancing for ducts, baffles, vessels, piping, fittings, scrubber systems, pumps, and heaters.
