You Are

UST is searching for a highly experienced React Native Technical Lead to drive the architecture, development, and delivery of scalable mobile applications. This role combines deep hands-on engineering expertise with technical leadership responsibilities, including mentoring distributed teams, defining development standards, and overseeing the full mobile application lifecycle.

The Opportunity

- Lead the architecture, design, and development of enterprise-grade React Native applications.
- Establish and enforce mobile engineering standards, best practices, and development guidelines.
- Collaborate with Product, Design, QA, and Engineering stakeholders throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Mentor and support engineers across multiple locations and time zones.
- Drive technical decision-making and architectural reviews.
- Design scalable, maintainable, and type-safe solutions using JavaScript and TypeScript.
- Implement and optimize application state management strategies using Redux, Context API, Zustand, or similar frameworks.
- Build, maintain, and improve CI/CD pipelines for mobile application delivery.
- Oversee release management, deployment automation, and environment configuration.
- Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks across mobile applications.
- Support integration with native mobile functionality using Swift or Kotlin when required.
- Conduct code reviews and promote engineering excellence across the team.

What You Need

- 4+ years of professional experience developing production React Native applications.




- 4+ years of native mobile development experience in either:
- iOS (Swift), or
- Android (Kotlin).
- Strong expertise in JavaScript and TypeScript.
- Proven experience designing scalable mobile architectures.
- Hands-on experience implementing state management solutions such as Redux, Context API, Zustand, or equivalent frameworks.
- Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation processes.
- Strong understanding of mobile application lifecycle management.
- Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and support distributed engineering teams.
- Excellent communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work within US Mountain Time business hours.
- Willingness and ability to complete a technical assessment.
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience developing native bridge modules using Swift or Kotlin.
- Experience publishing and maintaining NPM packages.
- Hands-on expertise in React Native performance tuning, profiling, and optimization.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Firebase, or similar services.
- Experience with mobile testing frameworks including Jest, Detox, or Appium.
- Contributions to open-source projects.
- Public GitHub repositories or portfolio demonstrating coding standards and architectural quality.
- Experience supporting both iOS and Android native platforms.
