Logistics Support The main purpose of this role is to
create daily, part-number-level visibility of component
availability, supplier deliveries, inventory coverage, shortages,
and risks impacting Volvo production. Since the supplier does not
currently have an MRP system, many logistics activities depend on
manual tracking and follow-up. The on-site resource will help close
this gap by creating discipline, structure, and transparency in the
material planning process. Main responsibilities Track Volvo part
numbers and critical components daily. Review inventory levels,
consumption, open orders, incoming material, and coverage. Identify
shortages or low-coverage parts before they impact production.
Follow up on supplier ETAs and escalation items. Maintain a daily
material tracker showing stock, demand, coverage, risks, and
recovery actions. Support warehouse visibility and inventory
accuracy checks. Help define minimum / maximum inventory levels for
critical parts. Review obsolete, blocked, or unclear stock that may
affect visibility. Connect material availability with production
and shipment plans. Escalate risks early to the supplier, Volvo,




and relevant stakeholders. Support recovery plan execution with
clear data and daily follow-up. Ensure Volvo demand is prioritized
and actively monitored. Expected deliverables Daily Volvo component
inventory and shortage report. Critical parts tracker with ETA,
coverage, and risk status. Weekly summary of open risks, actions,
and recovery progress. Clear escalation list for components
requiring management attention. Inventory accuracy observations and
improvement recommendations. Visibility of whether material
availability supports the production plan. Desired profile The
on-site resource should have experience in logistics, supply chain,
production planning, inventory control, and supplier follow-up. The
person must be able to work directly on the shop floor and
warehouse, validate information physically, and communicate clearly
with both supplier and Volvo teams. onsite- Monterrey NOTE_ 6-month
contract. Depending on performance, there may be an opportunity to
convert to a full-time employee.
