Develop and optimize rubber compounds with the focus on industrial hoses and expansion jointsLead compound development projects and participate in other R&D; projectsDrive activities to reduce our compound and raw material cost as well as complexityDrive the ideation and development of new innovative material technologies, with focus on performance, processability, cost efficiency and sustainabilitySupport the industrialization of new compounds in close collaboration with other departmentsSupport troubleshootings related to material topics in close collaboration with plants, quality and business functionsSupport the creation and implementation of new processes and software applications incl. AI-based toolsMaintainthe interfaces with internal customers, labs, product development, plants and business functionsQualifications

Master’s degree (PhD preferred)



in Chemistry / Chemical Engineering / Material Science or similar fields of study, preferentially with focus on polymer or rubber chemistrySeveral years of work experience in the rubber and plastics industry desirableOutstanding chemical understanding, such as structure–property relationships, designing test plans etc.Basic knowledge of rubber materials, compounding and related processingAnalytical and scientific workstyleSelf-driven team player with a high degree of ownership and capability to work independentlyPro-active and structured problem-solving mindsetGood international and intercultural communication skills incl. capability to work in a general environmentFluent English language skills (oral and written)Willingness to travel (up to 10% of your time)
