MATERIALS MANAGER

Responsible for defining and executing the overall materials management strategy, including sourcing, planning, inventory control, and warehouse operations, ensuring the timely availability of raw materials, components, and supplies to meet production demand while optimizing inventory levels.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead the strategy for sourcing, materials planning, inventory management, warehousing, and logistics.
- Ensure the availability of raw materials, components, and supplies to meet production schedules and customer demand.
- Implement and standardize processes to improve decision-making, optimize inventory levels, and increase operational efficiency.
- Develop demand forecasts and supply plans to ensure operational continuity.
- Manage material procurement activities.
- Design and implement inventory control and optimization strategies to prevent shortages, excess inventory, and obsolescence.
- Ensure inventory accuracy between physical counts and system records.
- Coordinate cycle counts, physical inventories, and internal and external audits.
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives related to warehousing, material flow, inventory strategies, and materials management.
- Ensure compliance with inventory control methods (FIFO, lot control, and traceability requirements).
- Monitor inventory consumption and variances.




- Implement and optimize technology tools and ERP systems related to supply chain management.
- Develop, monitor, and report key performance indicators (KPIs) for areas under responsibility.
- Actively participate in month-end closings, inventory-related financial analyses, and audits.

RequirementsEducation

- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.

Experience

- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Materials Supervisor, Coordinator, or Materials Manager position within the automotive industry.
- Proven experience in:
- Materials and production planning.
- Strategic purchasing and supplier negotiations.
- Warehouse and inventory management.
- Logistics and supply chain management.
- S&OP;/SIOP process implementation.
- Managing multidisciplinary teams.

Technical Knowledge

- Demand and supply planning.
- Inventory management and optimization.
- Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Warehouse operations and logistics control.
- Key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Production capacity and resource analysis.
- ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Plex, or similar platforms.
- Supply chain analysis and control tools.
