Position Summary:

- Support the Bank's AML/CFT compliance program by performing customer due diligence, transaction monitoring, sanctions screening, suspicious activity investigations, and regulatory reporting. The role works closely with business units, regulators, and internal stakeholders to ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulatory requirements, and Head Office policies, while contributing to the continuous enhancement of AML/CFT controls, processes, and risk management practices.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

- Review and approval of Customer Due Diligence (KYC) and the corresponding Risk Level for each customer submitted by the business area.
- Investigation of Suspicious Operations and Reporting
- Management of Sanctions and Restrictive Lists
- Process and investigate each alert generated by the system to validate its origin, and prepare the corresponding technical supporting documentation.
- Efficiently investigate and resolve "false positives", and escalate "true positives" for decision-making in accordance with the law.
- Serve as the technical point of contact for inspections and information requests from regulators related to AML (Anti-Money Laundering).




- Collaborate with Internal and External Audit in reviewing the effectiveness of the AML program, implementing the necessary corrective actions arising from findings.
- Actively monitor changes in national and international legislation related to AML/CFT (Combating the Financing of Terrorism).
- Propose updates to the bank's policies and procedures to ensure continuous compliance with evolving regulatory standards.
- Internal Documentation and Reporting

Experience and Knowledge:

- 1–3 years of experience in the banking sector with Bachelor's degree.
- Teamwork and collaboration with a service-oriented mindset.
- Knowledge of the Mexican financial system and applicable regulations.
- Experience with AML/CFT regulations, monitoring and screening systems.
- Experience with banking products and services.
- Experience with domestic and international payment systems (SPEI, SPID, SWIFT, etc.).
- Experience with sanctions compliance (OFAC and international sanctions lists).
- Knowledge of FATCA and CRS requirements.
- Experience drafting and reviewing manuals, policies and process flows.
- Advanced English.
