Smyth & Co is exclusively recruiting an outstanding Beverage Director for one of the Caribbean’s most high-profile luxury hotels.

This is a career-defining opportunity for an internationally experienced beverage professional with the creativity, personality and leadership skills to develop an exceptional drinks programme across a world-class luxury property.

We are particularly interested in candidates who have worked in Mexico and possess a genuine understanding of its extraordinary drinking culture, spirits and ingredients. A passion for creating innovative cocktails incorporating Mexican flavours, spices and native ingredients would be highly desirable.

The successful candidate must have worked in several international locations, bringing a integral perspective while remaining sensitive to local culture, produce and guest expectations. Previous Caribbean experience would be a significant advantage.

You will oversee the hotel’s complete beverage operation, leading its bars, restaurants and wider drinks offering while creating memorable experiences for an international clientele.

The role will involve:

- Creating and delivering a distinctive, world-class beverage strategy
- Developing imaginative cocktail menus with a strong sense of place
- Bringing fresh ideas inspired by Mexican flavours, ingredients, spirits and spices
- Leading beverage operations across multiple luxury outlets
- Recruiting, mentoring and inspiring an exceptional international team
- Delivering engaging training and developing beverage knowledge across the property
- Maintaining the highest standards of service, quality and consistency
- Managing beverage costs, stock, supplier relationships and commercial performance




- Collaborating closely with culinary, restaurant and hotel leadership teams
- Creating memorable guest experiences through storytelling, personality and outstanding hospitality The ideal candidate will have:
- Senior beverage leadership experience within a Michelin-starred restaurant, five-star hotel or luxury resort
- Previous professional experience in Mexico
- Experience working across multiple international locations
- Caribbean or luxury island experience, ideally
- Outstanding cocktail knowledge and a genuine passion for innovation
- Strong knowledge of Mexican spirits, flavours, ingredients and drinking culture
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A confident, engaging personality and the ability to connect with guests and colleagues
- A proven ability to lead, motivate and develop a multicultural team
- Strong commercial awareness alongside exceptional creative flair
- The adaptability and resilience required to succeed in an international resort environment
