Mission

We are looking for an EHS Specialist (Environmental, Safety & Health) to join our plant EHS team in Apaseo el Notable. You will lead the environmental side of the plant: keeping our ISO 14001 management system certified, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and reducing our impact on energy, water, waste and emissions. You will also support safety, health and emergency programs as part of the plant EHS team.

Responsibilities

- Manage and renew the Environmental Management System under ISO 14001:2015, leading certification and recertification audits.
- Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and lead inspections by SEMARNAT and PROFEPA, as well as customer environmental audits.
- Manage hazardous and special handling waste, including final disposal, collection services and chain-of-custody manifests.
- Monitor stack emissions and wastewater discharge quality at treatment plants.
- Control chemical substances:



storage, labeling and safety data sheets for oils, solvents and refrigerants.
- Measure and report monthly environmental KPIs, including energy, water and CO2 per part produced.
- Train operators on spill response, waste segregation and environmental culture.
- Support the ISO 45001 system, incident investigations, emergency response and relations with government agencies.
- Take part in EHS system improvement and continuous improvement projects.

Profile

- Bachelor's degree in Industrial, Environmental or Chemical Engineering, Management Systems Engineering or a related field.
- 3 to 6 years of experience in environmental and industrial safety roles in metalworking or automotive manufacturing.
- Current or previous role with a clear environmental scope.
- Proven experience leading ISO 14001 certification and recertification.
- Solid knowledge of Mexican environmental regulations: SEMARNAT, PROFEPA, hazardous waste, emissions and wastewater.
- 2+ years of experience in manufacturing processes.
- Intermediate English, spoken and written.
- A degree in Environmental Engineering or environmental certifications is a plus.
- ISO 14001 / ISO 19011 auditor certification is a plus.
- Experience with ISO 45001, GHG inventories or energy efficiency projects is a plus.
