The opportunity

Step into a high-impact leadership role as an Operations Manager at Hitachi Energy, where innovation meets operational excellence. In this role, you will lead all manufacturing operations within a transformer production facility, ensuring safe, efficient, and cost-effective delivery aligned with customer expectations.

This is an exciting opportunity to influence plant performance through lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, and strong cross-functional collaboration. You will work closely with teams across Production, Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, Maintenance, and EHS to drive sustainable results and elevate operational standards.

How you’ll make an impact

- Lead daily manufacturing operations aligned with the ITM Management System

- Deliver production targets across safety, quality, and delivery commitments

- Optimize use of labor, materials, equipment, and manufacturing resources

- Promote a zero-incident safety culture using HOP principles

- Lead risk assessments,



safety audits, and preventive action initiatives

- Drive quality excellence and ensure compliance with customer and industry standards

- Champion continuous improvement through tools such as Kaizen, 5S, TPM, and A3

- Develop and coach teams to build capability and support long-term growth

- Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Your background

- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field

- 12+ years of experience in manufacturing or operations leadership

- Proven experience leading cross-functional teams in a production environment

- Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies

- Experience with quality and regulatory standards (IEEE, UL, CSA, ISO)

- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish
