The role The Installations and Service Engineer is responsible for installing, commissioning and maintaining laboratory and diagnostic instruments at client sites across Mexico and Latin America.

You will be Lambdac’s technical presence in the field: the person clients see when new equipment arrives, and the person they contact when an instrument requires technical attention.

The role will focus primarily on Labsystems Diagnostics equipment and instrumentation, including systems used in newborn screening, clinical diagnostics and laboratory automation.

Key responsibilities include

- Installation and commissioning of new instruments.
- Verification of site requirements prior to installation.
- Initial configuration and functional testing.
- Preventive and corrective maintenance.
- Diagnosis and repair of technical faults, both on site and remotely.
- Follow-up of technical issues through resolution.
- Training client personnel on correct equipment use and routine care.
- Preparation of service reports, installation records, maintenance records and calibration documentation.
- Review and interpretation of technical manuals and procedures.
- Communication with international manufacturers’ technical teams.
- Identification and follow-up of spare parts,



tools and components required for service activities.
- Clear documentation of every technical intervention.

The position requires frequent work at client sites and willingness to travel within Mexico and, when required, to other countries in Latin America.

What we are looking for

- Degree in Biomedical, Electronic, Mechanical, Mechatronic Engineering or a related technical field.
- Hands-on experience installing or servicing laboratory, diagnostic or medical equipment.
- Ability to perform methodical fault diagnosis.
- Knowledge of instrumentation, electrical systems, electronics and electromechanical systems.
- Ability to work with instrument software and automated systems.
- Ability to interpret manuals, procedures and technical documentation.
- Discipline to document clearly what was performed and what was found during each service intervention.
- Good written and spoken English, sufficient to follow technical manuals and work directly with international manufacturers.
- Ability to explain technical matters clearly to non-technical users.
- Willingness to travel within Mexico and Latin America, sometimes at short notice.
- Valid driving licence.
- Ability to work independently in the field.

Experience with in vitro diagnostic equipment, laboratory instrumentation, automated systems, chromatography, mass spectrometry, sample-processing systems, instrument software, barcode readers and traceability systems will be particularly valued.

Familiarity with regulatory documentation or quality management systems within healthcare will be considered a plus.
