Our client is a fintech company in Mexico hiring a Legal & Compliance Manager to support its SOFOM entity and build its legal and compliance framework.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage SOFOM corporate governance and regulatory compliance.
- Liaise with CNBV and CONDUSEF on filings, inquiries and reporting.
- Oversee legal and compliance matters across lending and collection operations.
- Manage data privacy, consumer protection, credit reporting and cross-border data transfer matters under LFPDPPP.
- Draft and review contracts and support local employment matters.
- Manage external legal counsel and litigation risks.
- Coordinate regulatory, AML and cross-border matters with the China headquarters.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Law with a valid Professional License.
- 5+ of experience in corporate legal counsel or a law firm.
- Mandatory experience in consumer finance, SOFOM, credit or collections.
- Strong knowledge of local consumer finance and collection regulations.
- Spanish speaker and professional English.
- Strong ability to provide practical, business-oriented legal solutions.
Compensation: CNY 40,000/month × 13 months
