Position Overview

We are looking for approximately three SAP Cost Center Planning Consultants to support the Accounting team during an estimated 3–4 month project , as part of the transition to SAP Cost Center Planning .

The consultant will act as the Controlling Champion , working closely with Plant Controllers to ensure the accuracy and completeness of actual postings, validate cost center structures, provide support with cost categorization and allocation activities, and manage the end-to-end cost center planning process.

The position requires strong hands-on experience in SAP Controlling , a good understanding of plant operations, and the ability to work directly with business and Finance teams at the plants.

Key Responsibilities

- Work with Plant Controllers to review and validate actual postings and identify incorrect allocations or posting errors.
- Analyze transaction-level data, identify posting issues, and discuss appropriate correction methodologies with the business.
- Validate cost center structures, responsible owners, groupings, and expense categorization.
- Provide support for all cost center planning activities, including relevant SAP transactions such as KP06, KP26, KSU7, KSS4, KSPI , and related processes.
- Guide Plant Controllers on the use of planning templates, activity rate calculations, allocation methodologies, and reconciliation activities.
- Support the definition and validation of assessment and distribution cycles, as well as allocation logic.




- Analyze under-absorption and over-absorption of production orders and help the business understand the factors driving these variances.
- Ensure compliance with cost center planning governance policies and guidelines, responsibility assignments, and planning calendar requirements.
- Evaluate absorption logic, including the treatment of cost centers that do not generate absorption.
- Support preparation for CO-PA integration and assess the impact of cost center planning on product costing and CO-PA.
- Provide expertise in Product Costing and support the understanding of Material Ledger impacts related to cost center planning.
- Develop user manuals, step-by-step guides, and other documentation according to the requirements of each plant.
- Conduct training and awareness sessions for Controllers and other relevant business users.
- Document allocation logic, cost center grouping rules, and procedures for cleansing/correcting actual postings.
- Support reconciliation activities and ensure consistency of data and planning across the different processes involved.

Requirements and Experience
- 8–10 years of relevant SAP experience , with deep knowledge of SAP Controlling and Cost Center Planning.
- Strong hands-on experience with cost center planning processes in SAP.
- Proven experience analyzing SAP transactions and vigente postings, identifying posting errors, and recommending appropriate adjustments or corrective actions.
