Key Responsibilities

- Support interdisciplinary projects involving large numbers of developers and consultants,
- while working very tightly with our internal IT Services team
- Identify automation opportunities and drive automation to increase database, data stores
- and data pipelines performance and value-add
- Drive and champion database best practices, their knowledge management and facilitate training to platform teams on database technologies and data integration methodologies
- Facilitate effective communication with client project stakeholders regarding project status and recommendations.
- Actively participate in accurate planning and estimation efforts, utilizing project methods and tools.
- Proficiently gather requirements and organize/present developed features for clients.
- Execute complex activities within the current methodology and quality standards, showcasing success across diverse engagements.
- Engage in agile software development, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, team retrospectives, and other governance activities.
- Independently drive project delivery within defined architecture, demonstrating autonomy and accountability in all stages from conceptualization to deployment.
- Read and write Cloud Development Kit (CDK)

Minimum Qualifications

- A minimum of 5+ years of experience/expertise in the following areas specified below*:
- SQL Database
- SQL RDS
- Nice to have postgresql

- Build database solutions of high availability and quality align to internal stakeholder requirements
- Configure, maintain, optimize databases and ensure data access and infrastructure controls are in place to safeguard against data losses and data breaches
- Assist developers in identifying and correcting database-related issues. Support platform owners in driving efficiency of database procedures for responsible business applications
- Determine, enforce and document database policies, procedures and standards
- Manage and monitor DB performance, database health and security posture
- Perform regular database maintenance, patches, data quality checks and troubleshooting activities
- Experience in Agile software development methodologies.
- Proficiency in the English language.
- Strong understanding of MS SQL Server architecture and administration.
- Good understanding of AWS services, specifically EC2 and RDS.
- Good understanding of related Microsoft technologies, such as Active Directory.
- Location preference for candidates based in South and Central America.

Qualifications

- Bachelors or masters degree in software engineering, Computer Science, Information
- Technology, or related quantitative field
- AWS Certified: AWS Database Specialty
- Microsoft Certified:



Azure Database Administrator Associate
- 5+ years of relevant working experience, preferably in the financial industry
- Practical experience of at least one common Enterprise Agile Framework e.g., Kanban, AFe, SCRUM, etc.
- Practical experience with Database Access Management and Database Security (DB Hardening, DB Audit, DB Policies, etc.)
- Practical experience with MS SQL Server database administration including management
