We are seeking experienced PLC Programmers to support a major brownfield retooling and line modification project at the Volkswagen manufacturing facility in Puebla, Mexico.
This role focuses on upgrading existing conveyor automation systems, retooling SEW drives, and integrating drive units with production line engines under strict automotive standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, modify, and commission PLC control logic for automated assembly and conveyor lines.
- Perform retooling, drive integration, and parameterization of SEW Eurodrive systems.
- Interlock and marry SEW drive controllers with main line engine systems.
- Ensure all programming, safety structures, and fieldbus communications strictly align with VASS standards .
- Troubleshoot hardware/software communication protocols (PROFINET, PROFIsafe).
- Support on-site dry runs, trial runs, and production ramp-up to ensure optimal cycle times.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- PLC Expertise:
4+ years of hands-on PLC programming experience within high-volume automotive manufacturing environments.
