Molex is seeking a Regional Category Manager to lead category strategy and commercial execution for our Guadalajara operations. In this role, you will develop and implement sourcing roadmaps that improve profitability, drive sustainable growth, and meet the evolving needs of our customers and OEM partners. You will work closely with suppliers and cross-functional teams to deliver impactful business results through strategic sourcing, value creation, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Together, we focus on delivering innovative solutions, optimizing total cost of ownership, strengthening supplier relationships, and supporting long-term business success.
What You Will Do
Develop and execute regional category strategies aligned with global sourcing objectives.
Own category performance metrics, including cost, supplier savings, inventory efficiency, quality, and lead time improvements.
Lead supplier negotiations, sourcing activities, and total cost of ownership initiatives.
Identify and implement process improvements that enhance operational efficiency and profitability.
Partner with engineering, operations, and suppliers to drive Value Analysis/Value Engineering (VAVE) initiatives.
Manage supply risk through mitigation plans, alternate sourcing strategies, and supplier continuity programs.
Build and maintain a pipeline of cost reduction, design optimization, and value-creation opportunities.
Analyze spend, cost drivers, and supplier performance data to uncover opportunities for savings and operational improvements.
Communicate performance results, project progress,



and strategic recommendations to leadership.
Who You Are
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
Experience in category management, strategic sourcing, procurement, supply chain, or related commercial functions.
Skilled in supplier negotiations, RFQs, cost analysis, and sourcing strategy development.
Strong analytical mindset with advanced Excel capabilities and experience using procurement or business intelligence tools.
Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives involving engineering, operations, finance, quality, and suppliers.
Ability to assess supply chain risks, develop mitigation strategies, and influence business decisions.
Fluent in Spanish and English, with the ability to collaborate effectively within general teams.
What Will Put You Ahead
Experience applying financial and economic analysis to sourcing and supplier decision-making.
Background in automotive, raw materials, stampings, connectors, or related manufacturing industries.
Demonstrated success delivering measurable cost savings and supplier performance improvements.
Proven experience driving Value Analysis/Value Engineering (VAVE) and total cost of ownership initiatives.
Strong track record of creating value through strategic supplier partnerships and continuous improvement programs.
