Senior Developer / Technical Designer – AI-Adjacent Applications | 5–8 Years

Role Summary The Senior Developer / Technical Designer will provide hands-on development and technical design support for product applications incorporating AI, agent, graph and geospatial capabilities. The role combines strong application engineering experience with the ability to design and integrate AI-related services into production software.

Key Responsibilities

- Design and develop scalable application services using Java/Spring Boot and/or Python.
- Translate product and functional requirements into application, API and integration designs.
- Design microservice, REST and event-driven integrations across product components.
- Integrate LLM and AI services with existing application and data services.
- Design integrations with AI agents using tool/function calling, APIs and MCP-based interfaces.
- Design and implement RAG, vector-search and context-retrieval patterns where required.
- Integrate graph and knowledge-graph services into application workflows.
- Design solutions involving geospatial datasets, spatial queries and location-based services.
- Define appropriate security, authentication, authorization and service-access controls.
- Support technical reviews, development standards, testing, deployment and production troubleshooting.




- Provide technical guidance to developers while remaining hands-on with development.

Required Skills

- 5–8 years of software/product engineering experience.
- Strong Java/Spring Boot and/or Python development.
- Good understanding of modern web technologies such as React/Angular and TypeScript.
- Microservices, REST APIs and distributed application design.
- AWS, Docker/Kubernetes and CI/CD.
- SQL/PostgreSQL plus experience with NoSQL or specialized data stores.
- Practical LLM/AI service integration experience.
- RAG, embeddings, vector search and context-management concepts.
- Agent integration, tool/function calling and familiarity with MCP.
- Experience working with graph/knowledge-graph technologies.
- Understanding of geospatial data, spatial databases and geospatial APIs.

Desirable

- Neo4j, Amazon Neptune or equivalent graph technology.
- PostGIS or comparable geospatial platform.
- AI application testing, evaluation and observability.
- Experience with high-availability, data-intensive or operationally critical software.
- Aviation or related transportation domain experience.
