CIMMYT is looking for a dedicated Accountant to join our finance department. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing day-to-day accounting operations, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with established financial policies and procedures. This role requires a detail-oriented professional with excellent numerical skills and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of financial integrity.

Key Responsibilities

- Maintain accurate and complete financial records in accordance with organizational standards.
- Process accounts payable and receivable transactions efficiently.
- Perform bank and account reconciliations regularly.
- Support budgeting and financial forecasting activities.
- Prepare internal and external financial reports as required.
- Assist with audits and regulatory compliance filings.




- Collaborate effectively with team members to ensure smooth financial operations.

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Demonstrated experience in accounting or finance roles, preferably within international or non-profit sectors.
- Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations.
- Proficient with accounting software systems and Microsoft Office suite.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Good analytical and problem-solving abilities.
