CIMMYT is seeking an experienced and knowledgeable Consultant to provide expert advice and support on specialized projects. The Consultant will collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders to deliver strategic insights, develop solutions, and contribute to the successful implementation of key initiatives aligned with CIMMYT’s mission. This role requires a highly skilled professional with deep expertise in their field, excellent analytical abilities, and strong communication skills to ensure impactful and sustainable outcomes.

Responsibilities

- Provide expert guidance and recommendations on assigned projects.
- Conduct research, data analysis, and assessments as required.
- Develop technical reports, presentations, and documentation.
- Collaborate closely with CIMMYT staff and partners to align activities with organizational objectives.
- Support capacity-building activities and knowledge transfer.




- Ensure timely delivery of consulting services according to agreed timelines and quality standards.
- Identify opportunities for improvement and innovation within the scope of work.

- Advanced degree or equivalent experience in relevant field related to CIMMYT’s mission.
- Proven track record as a consultant or specialist in the area of expertise.
- Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multicultural environment.
- Flexibility and adaptability to meet project demands and deadlines.
- Familiarity with international development or agricultural research context is an advantage.
