The GBS Transition Analyst will support transition waves by:
- Coordinating transition planning, scheduling, milestones, dependencies, deliverables, and stage-gate activities.
- Supporting knowledge transfer, training coordination, and operational readiness activities.
- Maintaining transition documentation, controls, trackers, risk and issue logs, and governance materials.
- Supporting go-live readiness, post-go-live issue management, hypercare, and stabilization.
- Providing accurate transition reporting and visibility into progress, risks, dependencies, readiness concerns, and open decisions.
- Supporting the successful movement of services into NOV Global Innovation Centers and other approved delivery channels.
Responsibilities
- Support detailed transition planning, scheduling, and coordination across multiple stakeholders, processes, and receiving locations.
- Track transition milestones, dependencies, deliverables, and stage-gate requirements.
- Proactively identify and escalate delays, risks, gaps, and dependencies for timely resolution.
- Maintain a clear and current view of transition progress, open decisions, and key deliverables.
- Coordinate knowledge transfer and training logistics, including schedules, completion tracking, dependencies, and follow-up actions.
- Support operational readiness assessments across documentation, training, staffing, technology, controls, and other transition requirements.
- Facilitate and monitor knowledge transfer sessions, workshops, and related follow-up activities.
- Support the preparation of evidence and materials for stage-gate and go-live readiness reviews.
- Maintain transition plans, SOPs, training materials, status packs, trackers, risk and issue logs, and other transition documentation.
- Ensure transition documentation is complete, consistent, current, and accessible to stakeholders.
- Capture lessons learned and support updates to transition methodologies, templates, and best practices.
- Prepare transition dashboards, status reports, meeting materials, executive summaries, and governance updates.
- Coordinate meetings and working sessions, capture decisions and action items, and track follow-up through closure.
- Analyze transition data to identify trends, readiness concerns, risks, and dependencies requiring leadership attention.
- Support post-go-live issue tracking, action management, and coordination throughout hypercare and stabilization.
- Help confirm that transition deliverables and agreed exit criteria are completed before services move fully into business-as-usual operations.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Operations, Supply Chain, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in transition management, project or program management, PMO, business operations, shared services, or consulting/professional services.
- Hands-on experience maintaining project plans, milestones, dependencies, action trackers, governance materials, or executive status reporting.
- Strong organizational and execution skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Ability to identify and escalate risks, issues, delays, and dependencies appropriately.
- Ability to coordinate across multiple stakeholders, functions, and locations.
Preferred
- Experience supporting knowledge transfer, training coordination, readiness assessments, go-live, hypercare, or stabilization activities.
- Prior exposure to a GBS, GCC, or Shared Services environment.
- Experience supporting a large-scale transformation program or working in a professional services/consulting environment.
- Experience with project management, Lean Six Sigma, or similar methodologies/certifications.
- Experience working with data and reporting tools.
- Experience coordinating with integral or geographically distributed teams.
