WHO YOU’LL WORK WITHThe Mexico Benefits Manager will be a member of the Benefits COE responsible for the competitive design, effective administration, and continuous improvement of employee benefits programs for Mexico Bain offices (General Consulting, Integral Business Services, etc.).

WHERE YOU’LL FIT WITHIN THE TEAMThis role ensures high-quality delivery of benefits operations, compliance with local regulations, and a strong employee experience. The position partners closely with internal stakeholders and regional teams, contributing to strategy while focusing on high quality execution, vendor management, and local market expertise.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

- Benefits Program Administration & Operations (60%)
- Manage the day-to-day administration of employee benefits programs, including major and minor medical, sick leave, disability, life insurance, retirement and savings plans, employee assistance programs (EAP), parental leave, and other employee perks.
- Execute core operational processes such as enrollment, onboarding of new hires, life events, and terminations, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and high-quality employee experience.
- Ensure compliance with Mexican labor laws,



tax requirements, and company policies; maintain accurate records and reporting.
- Partner with human resource information systems (HRIS) team to define requirements, system configuration, testing, and data management protocols for Workday and related tools.
- Lead local vendor management activities, including coordination with brokers, insurers, and third-party administrators; monitor service levels and escalate issues as needed.
- Lead contract renewals by gathering data, supporting benchmarking, and coordinating with internal stakeholders and vendors.
- Partner with finance, payroll, and accounts payable teams for budget planning, vendor payment and invoicing, payroll deductions and tax, financial management and reporting.
- Conduct basic analysis of claims, utilization, and costs to identify trends and support decision-making.
- Maintain and update benefits policies, procedures, and documentation.
- Develop and deliver employee communications and educational materials to improve understanding and utilization of benefits.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and service delivery.

- Stakeholder Support & Advisory (20%)

- Act as a key contact for employee and leadership inquiries related to benefits, providing guidance and resolving issues in a timely manner.
- Support HR and business leaders with benefits-related insights, including local practices and employee feedback.




- Escalate complex issues appropriately and partner with vendors and senior leaders on resolution.
- Help employees navigate benefits programs, ensuring clarity and accessibility of information.

- Contribution to Strategy & Projects (20%)

- Stay informed on market trends and regulatory changes, sharing relevant updates with the broader team.
- Deliver local market insights and data to inform plan design and strategy discussions with senior leadership.
- Lead the implementation of benefits initiatives within Mexico, ensuring smooth adoption and clear communication.
- Lead, or support, benefits-related projects, such as system enhancements, communication improvements, and process standardization.

- ABOUT YOU

- Experience
- Minimum 7 years working experience with employee benefits in a large complex organization that includes:
- Proven expertise in managing Mexico retirement, health, life, accident, disability, vacation, leaves, perquisites, allowance and reimbursement benefits, including a working knowledge of Mexican labor laws, benefits regulations, and social benefits.
- Proven experience in benefits administration, communications, plan & process documentation and improvements, compliance & reporting, contracting and vendor management, strategy and benchmark reviews, project management, preparing committee materials, and escalation and issue resolution.

- Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

- Demonstrates strong oral and written communication, detail-orientation, analytical, organizational skills, and ability to appropriately handle highly confidential information.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Office tools, and human resources information systems. Use of Workday a plus.

- Education

- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
