We are looking for a Compliance Engineer I – Design to support product compliance throughout the design and development process, ensuring our products meet applicable regulatory, safety, certification, and customer requirements.
What will you do? Support compliance activities for new product development, product modifications, and existing product certifications.
Review product designs, drawings, specifications, components, and technical documentation to identify compliance requirements.
Support compliance with applicable UL, NSF, DOE, EPA, ASHRAE, IEC, and other relevant industry standards and regulations.
Coordinate product testing and certification activities with internal laboratories and external certification agencies.
Support Design Engineers in identifying and incorporating compliance requirements throughout the design and development process.
Review engineering changes and evaluate their potential impact on product certifications and regulatory requirements.
Maintain compliance documentation, technical files, test reports, certificates, and regulatory records.
Support investigations and resolution of compliance issues identified during testing, certification, manufacturing, or field activities.
Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing,



and Supply Chain teams on component or material changes that may affect product compliance.
Participate in design reviews, compliance assessments, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Electromechanical, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related engineering field.
1–3 years of experience in Engineering, Product Design, Product Compliance, Testing, Certification, or a related manufacturing environment.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, schematics, and Bills of Materials (BOMs).
Basic knowledge of product safety, regulatory compliance, electrical and mechanical systems.
Familiarity with product testing, validation, engineering changes, and technical documentation.
Knowledge of UL standards and certification processes is preferred.
Experience in the refrigeration, HVAC, electrical, appliance, or metal-mechanical industry is preferred.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Experience with PLM, ERP, SAP, Oracle, or similar engineering systems is preferred.
English: Intermediate to advanced, with the ability to read and interpret technical standards, specifications, test reports, and engineering documentation.
Spanish: Fluent.
