Quality Engineer is responsible for determining production standards for the products by establishing quality control systems and setting product requirement rules.
Their duties include identifying the specifications for an idóneo product, determining an appropriate level of variation and monitoring quality assurance rates.ResponsibilitiesManage all quality-related issues within the manufacturing team (e.G. internal, supplier).
Identify root cause and instigate permanent corrective actions for product quality issues.Work with internal and external stakeholders to resolve quality issues that arise as quickly and efficiently as possible to prevent compromising quality and safety standards.Ensure control plans and associated documentation are implemented effectively and maintained.Monitor and report on quality-related key performance indicators (yield)Stop production in the event of manufacture of unacceptable goods/processesEnsure compliance and assist with adherence to the Quality Management system (IATF*****/ISO****)Report on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) in order to adhere to process and prevent occurrence of any non-conformity relating to product, process or system.Promote the use of customer preferred techniques for continuous improvement such as Six-Sigma, Poka-Yoke (Error Proofing),



and Measurement System AnalysisParticipate in cross-functional teams in the development of new products or changes related to current products in meeting customer requirements.Participate in the development and refinement of Design and Process FMEA's (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis)Contribute to continuous improvement activitiesWrite reports and present progress at project meetingsAttend various meetings and action/communicate instructionsProduce written reports and make presentationsPerform root cause analysis and resolve problemsLead and/or support groups of technicians and engineersProvide guidance to other team membersLiaise and communicate with other departments, customers, suppliers and other service providersKnowledge, Skills & AttributesComply with the Health, Safety and Environmental PoliciesAssertive, resilient and welcomes changeEngages interest and participation of others and has a collaborative approach to working with othersProactively contributes to the teamIs self awareIs resilient, optimistic and open to changeShows moral courage, openness and honesty in all dealingsKnowledge of quality systems and measurementStrong knowledge of Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), Production Part Approval Process (PPAP), Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA) and Core ToolsLean Manufacturing knowledgeKnowledge of IATF***** and ISO****Understanding of engineering drawings and manufacturing processesAbility to work in a diverse and dynamic environmentPlanning and prioritising activitiesGood communication and interpersonal skillsProblem-solving skillsAnalytical skillsKnowledge on Google Applications (Sheets, Docs) and MS OfficeOracle / Agile Previous Knowledge is preferredQualifications and Experience LevelsBachelor's degree in manufacturing/engineering preferredPrevious experience in a high volume manufacturing environment,preferably automotiveMinimum 5 Years of Experience of working in Quality AssuranceSix Sigma/Lean Manufacturing skills, Green Belt or Black Belt Certification preferred.Experience of dealing with customers and suppliersBilingual, English/Spanish fluently communicates in both languages written and spoken.
