Junior Roofing Estimator – Remote

Position Overview

A well-established roofing and waterproofing company is looking for a Junior Roofing Estimator to join its growing estimating team remotely.

This is a great opportunity for someone with a strong roofing background who wants to move further into estimating . You do not need to be an experienced estimator — the company already has established scopes of work, pricing, rate sheets, repair language, and estimating processes in place.

You’ll be trained on the company’s systems and processes and work closely with experienced estimators to review inspection reports, photos, measurements, and project information and turn that information into accurate proposal drafts.

The idóneo candidate understands roofing terminology, roofing systems, common repair concepts, and how to look at an inspection recommendation and determine whether it makes sense based on the available information.

What You'll Do

- Review roofing inspection reports, photos, measurements, and project information
- Review inspector recommendations and identify whether the recommended work aligns with the observed conditions
- Use project photos to help evaluate and support repair recommendations
- Prepare initial drafts of roofing proposals
- Utilize established scopes of work and standard repair language
- Populate repair scopes based on inspection information
- Enter project quantities using established pricing and rate sheets
- Organize and review project photos
- Work within CompanyCam and Salesforce
- Review measurements and other project documentation
- Follow established estimating processes and company standards
- Work closely with the estimating team to ensure proposals are accurate and complete
- Learn and apply the company's roofing systems, pricing, and proposal structure

What We're Looking For





- 2+ years of roofing experience
- Strong knowledge of roofing terminology, systems, and basic repair concepts
- Roofing experience is more important than prior estimating experience
- Ability to understand inspection findings and determine whether recommendations make sense
- Strong attention to detail
- Comfortable working with photos, measurements, reports, and written scopes
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel
- Ability to learn new software and established company processes
- Reliable, driven, and willing to put in the work when project volume increases
- Strong team player who communicates well in a remote environment

Bilingual Spanish/English is highly preferred due to the number of Spanish-speaking contracts and project information.

Workload & Training

You’ll receive structured training from the existing estimating team, beginning with shadowing and hands-on training before gradually taking ownership of estimates.

The initial focus will be on smaller estimates and learning the company's established process. As your knowledge and accuracy grow, you'll take on more complex estimates and higher daily volume.

This is designed to be a plug-and-play estimating system — the company has already built the scopes, pricing, rate sheets, and processes. You’ll be learning how to apply them accurately rather than creating estimating systems from scratch.
