The General Ledger Accountant will prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and ensure accurate, timely financial reporting in compliance with U.S. GAAP standards.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
Financial Preparation: Prepare journal entries and general ledger account reconciliations.
Amortization & Insurance: Assist with amortization schedules and inter-company charges for risk insurance.
Inter-Company Accounting: Assist with inter-company loan schedules and journal entries.
Tax & Reporting: Preparation of property tax renditions and amortization journal entries.
Cross-Functional Communication: Partner directly with plant managers, project leads,
and department heads to verify asset status and resolve discrepancies.
Time Management:
Multi-task effectively in a fast-paced environment to meet strict period-end close deadlines.
Adaptability & Collaboration: Work collaboratively within the team while maintaining flexibility to adjust pace as project volumes fluctuate.
Qualifications & Requirements
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
Experience: 0 to 2 years of accounting experience (experience in the manufacturing industry is a plus).
Technical Skills:
o Knowledge of ERP systems (e.g., Oracle) is a plus.
Soft Skills:
o Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and data accuracy.
