The Accounts Payable Staff Accountant must have working knowledge and experience with accounts payable and vendor management. He/she must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as, basic clerical skills. He/she must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple interruptions, therefore, exceptional organizational skills are preferred. The position requires a pleasant nature with a strong emphasis on customer service.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Accounts Payable and Vendor Management
Receive and process requests to set up new vendors
Ensure requests to add new vendors are complete and within Company policy
Reconcile accounts payable to monthly vendor statements
Enter and post accounts payable batches, verify all coding per chart of accounts
Process weekly accounts payable checks
2. Monitor vendor due dates to ensure on-time payments
Maintain checklist of utility providers and due dates
Maintain checklist of monthly contract service providers and due dates
Monitor resident move-ins in connection with referral services
Monitor general expenses of community and elevate issues and/or concerns to Senior Accountant and/or Controller Work with Controller to assist with monthly invoice accruals
3. Serve as a point of contact for vendors
4. Maintain files, documents, and audit support for year-end audits
5. Other tasks as assigned

- Bachelor degree
- Experience in AP
