Program Manager – PMO
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Program Manager to join a new Program Management Office based in Puebla. This position will have overall responsibility for assigned automotive programs, ensuring alignment between customer requirements, business objectives and cross-functional execution.
The Program Manager will coordinate activities across Engineering, Quality, Operations, Supply Chain, Finance and other key functions to ensure programs meet their timing, cost, quality and delivery objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Own assigned programs from planning and development through launch and stabilization.
- Develop and maintain program timing, milestones, deliverables and recovery plans.
- Coordinate cross-functional program teams and ensure alignment across functions and locations.
- Lead regular program reviews and provide clear visibility of progress, risks and critical issues.
- Serve as a key point of contact for customers and internal stakeholders.
- Monitor program financial performance, including costs, investments, changes and profitability.
- Identify risks and potential delays, ensuring timely escalation and corrective actions.
- Coordinate customer and engineering changes and assess their impact on timing, cost and execution.
- Ensure compliance with applicable program management and automotive quality requirements.
- Support the continuous improvement and standardization of PMO processes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business or a related field.
- At least 7 years of experience in automotive program management, project management, product development or launches.
- Demonstrated experience managing cross-functional automotive programs.
- Strong knowledge of APQP, PPAP and automotive product-launch processes.
- Experience interacting directly with OEM customers and senior stakeholders.
- Understanding of program costs, investments and profitability.
- Advanced English communication skills.
- Strong leadership, communication and stakeholder-management capabilities.
- Ability to influence teams and drive accountability without relying on direct authority.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience coordinating programs involving multiple plants or locations.
- Experience with complex product launches or engineering changes.
- PMP or equivalent project management certification
