**About the role**
The **Materials Planning & SIOP Specialist** is responsible for supporting the supply and demand planning process while driving improvements to systems and operational processes that enhance the performance of the work area and team.
This role works closely with cross-functional teams to develop financial forecasts, optimize materials planning strategies, and improve the visibility of demand trends and supply capabilities across the organization.
**Key Responsibilities**
As a **Materials Planning & SIOP Specialist**, you’ll be responsible for:
- Developing strategies for **materials planning and SIOP**.
- Developing **standardized processes within materials planning and SIOP** to optimize business resources and meet customer delivery expectations.
- Developing indicators that enable visibility into **short and long-term market trends and demand**.
- Identifying appropriate **demand streams and establishing data relationship linkages**.
- Collaborating with **product development leaders and sales & marketing teams** to develop demand forecasts.
- Planning **capacity and fulfillment demand with plant manufacturing operations**.




- Working with the manufacturing team to develop **monthly production volume plans** using business forecasts, inventory levels, presente customer orders, and defined capacity parameters.
- Identifying and developing **new technologies and tools** to improve materials planning and SIOP capability, sustainability, and reliability.
- Tracking appropriate **metrics and performance indicators** to drive results and continuous improvement.
- Developing processes and plans to **improve supply capabilities**.
- Establishing **clear and robust metrics** to measure progress through process improvements for SIOP.
**Requirements**:

As a minimum you must have:
- **University degree or equivalent**.
- **Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience** in materials planning, supply chain, or SIOP processes.
- Advanced knowledge obtained through a **combination of education and professional experience**.
- Practical knowledge of **Carrier organization, programs, or systems**, with the ability to enhance and leverage them in daily work.
- Strong analytical and collaboration skills to work with **cross-functional teams**.
Although not necessary, it would be nice if you have:




- An **advanced degree in a related field** with at least **3 years of experience**.
- Experience working with **demand forecasting and production planning processes**.
- Experience supporting **continuous improvement initiatives within supply chain or operations**.
