The Associate Investigator is responsible for planning, coordinating and monitoring operations, the multicrop (corn and sorghum) phenotyping process as planting, spraying, data collection and harvesting in localities under the Cortazar station area (IMPACT / Research, multicrop) and IFS support.

This position is based in Cortazar, Guanajuato.

Responsibilities

- Lead and maintain appropriate communication with the Yield Test Lead, Operation Lead, SRAs, Scientists and Breeders of the Cortazar and Tlajomulco sites, to coordinate different operations.
- Monitor and evaluate the trial plots and search for cooperating farmers. Attached to protocol.
- Collaboration with the farmer in the preparation of land (desvare, harrows, subsoiling, fallows, leveling, furrowing) or look for operations where the company intervenes.
- Active participation in planting team, leading agronomic decision making.
- Coordinate with the Research Agronomists of each locality the phenotyping activities assuring quality data collection. Active coordination with the Agronomy Group in the IMPACT Phenotyping operations.
- Visit, monitoring and follow-up of the assigned locations and generate reports in a timely manner.
- Develop and lead to create collaborative relationships with all the team of RA’s and Ra’s in Bajio, to facilitate the achievement of employment goals. Staring with integration and proactive activities and of course as an example of operate.

- Adequate assurance of the quality of the collected data (Traits),



following the Corteva standard protocols and tools (Launch, First Stage, GDCS, RAM, etc) and aligned with the Breeders.
- Active participation in the voting for hybrids advancement in Corn and Sorghum. Ensure that data collection is performed following QMS protocols and data are timely quality checked and timely uploaded in Launch.
- Work together with the team in continuous process improvement and metrics, based on continuous improvement and support of QMS (Quality Management System) as a way of working and improvement in the processes to achieve the objectives in an optimal way. Work together with SRA and Operations Leads to create metrics that measure the efficiency of different operating processes.

- The 100% effective compliance with QMS and EHS&S; protocols and training. Comply monthly with 100% vehicle audits.

Measurement Forms: Have completed RMS and EHS&S; courses by the end of the year. 100% compliance with vehicle audits. Not have traffic violations and notices of non-compliance with the vehicle use policy (night driving, speeding, sudden braking, fines). # of SODA cards (minimum 2 cards per month). Lead the daily talks of 5 minutes prior to each start of activity. 100% participation in weekly Safety Meets.

- Furthermore, he/she will be responsible for ensuring compliance with EHS&S; standards, leading work teams under strong principles of discipline, safety, and ethics. He/she will establish clear operational guidelines, verify personnel qualifications and certifications,



promote continuous training programs, and oversee the proper execution of activities, ensuring adherence to established procedures and objectives.

- Generate innovative solutions in work situations; try new and different ways od dealing with problems and job opportunities. He/She recognizes the importance od speed and is focused on growth

Qualifications

- At least 2 years of experience in similar position.
- Agronomic knowledge and experience with corn and sorghum.
- Knowledge of plant breeding and genetics.
- Knowledge of weed and pest control, fertilization, data collection throughout the crop's phenological cycle.
- Master’s degree desirable.
- English fluent desirable.
