BUDGET CONTROLLER

We are looking for a Budget Controller to join our Finance team.

This position will be responsible for the planning, monitoring and control of the company's budget, providing financial analysis to ensure effective cost management, identify deviations and support strategic decision-making across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

- Coordinate the preparation, consolidation and follow-up of the annual budget and periodic forecasts.
- Monitor departmental budgets and cost centers, ensuring alignment with approved financial plans.
- Perform Budget vs. Vigente analysis and identify, investigate and report significant variances.
- Prepare monthly financial reports, forecasts and management presentations.
- Work closely with department leaders to review expenses, explain deviations and establish corrective actions.
- Monitor operating expenses and identify cost-saving and optimization opportunities.
- Support monthly closing activities related to expenses, accruals and budget control.
- Ensure proper allocation and classification of expenses by account and cost center.
- Analyze financial and operational data to identify trends, risks and opportunities.
- Develop and maintain financial models, budget tracking tools and management reports.




- Support management with financial information and analysis for business decision-making.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives related to budgeting, reporting and financial controls.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, Industrial Engineering or related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in Budget Control, Controlling, Cost Control, Financial Analysis or related functions.
- Experience in manufacturing or automotive industry preferred.
- Strong knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, cost control and variance analysis.
- Understanding of cost centers, financial statements and accounting principles.
- Advanced Excel skills; experience with financial models, PivotTables and data analysis.
- Experience with SAP or other ERP systems.
- Advanced English proficiency.
- Strong analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to communicate financial information effectively and work cross-functionally with different departments.
