About the Role
Impact Advisors Mexico is seeking an Epic Bridges Interface & Conversion Analyst to support healthcare data integration, interface development, and data conversion initiatives for U.S.-based healthcare organizations.
In this role, you will work at the intersection of Epic, healthcare data, interoperability, interfaces, and data conversion. You will help translate technical and business requirements into reliable integration solutions while supporting data quality, testing, implementation, and ongoing system operations.
The idóneo candidate has experience with healthcare integration or data conversion and is comfortable working with technical teams, application teams, subject matter experts, and client stakeholders.
What You'll Do
Interface Development & Integration
· Design, develop, maintain, and troubleshoot interfaces between Epic and external systems.
· Support integration solutions using healthcare interoperability technologies such as HL7, XML, APIs, and FHIR.
· Develop interface specifications, mapping documentation, translation requirements, and integration workflows.
· Analyze interface requirements and contribute to reliable and maintainable integration solutions.
· Investigate and resolve interface errors, integration issues, and data discrepancies.
· Support interface monitoring and post-implementation activities.
Data Conversion & Migration
· Support data conversion and migration activities involving healthcare applications and systems.
· Develop data mapping, transformation logic, and conversion documentation.
· Extract and transform legacy data using SQL, XML, HL7, and related technologies.
· Support data ingestion and conversion activities into Epic.
· Develop validation scripts and perform data reconciliation to evaluate data accuracy and completeness.
· Work with subject matter experts and application teams to validate converted data.
API & Technical Integration
· Support API-based integration solutions using REST APIs, JSON, OAuth, and OpenAPI.
· Apply programming skills in Java or C# to support integration and conversion activities.
· Analyze technical requirements and translate them into appropriate integration approaches.
· Collaborate with technical teams to support scalable integration solutions.
Testing & Implementation
· Support unit, integrated, conversion, and user acceptance testing.
· Develop test scenarios, validation scripts, and reconciliation processes.
· Support mock conversions, data loads, cutover planning, and implementation activities.
· Perform pre- and post-implementation validation.
· Provide post-go-live support and assist with ongoing issue resolution.
Business & Client Collaboration
· Analyze business and technical requirements to support integration and conversion solutions.
· Collaborate with application teams, technical teams, subject matter experts, and client stakeholders.
· Communicate project risks, issues, dependencies, and progress to appropriate stakeholders.
· Support documentation, knowledge transfer, and continuous improvement activities.
What You'll Bring
Required Qualifications
· 3+ years of professional experience in healthcare integration, interface development, data conversion, data migration, or a related technical field.
· Experience with data extraction, transformation, mapping, and validation.
· Strong experience with SQL, XML, HL7, or similar healthcare data technologies.
· Experience working with REST APIs, JSON, OAuth, and/or OpenAPI.
· Experience with Java or C#.
· Understanding of interface workflows and the data conversion lifecycle.
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
· Excellent attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
· Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
· Ability to work effectively with technical, operational, and business stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
· Epic Bridges certification.
· Hands-on experience with HL7 interfaces and healthcare integration engines.
· Experience with Mirth, Rhapsody, Cloverleaf, or Ensemble.
· Experience supporting Epic implementations, upgrades, or optimization initiatives.
· Knowledge of healthcare data domains such as ADT, orders, results, and billing.
· Familiarity with HL7, X12, and FHIR interoperability standards.
· Previous experience in healthcare IT consulting.
· Experience supporting U.S.-based healthcare organizations.
· Experience with other major healthcare information systems or EHR platforms.
