About the Role
As the Engineering Manager for the Tijuana Site, you will collaborate closely with the General Operations team, and you will play a crucial role in developing and executing Engineering initiatives that align with the Tijuana Site business objectives. You will lead the Engineering team reporting in solid line with the Site General Manager. Hence, this role requires broad experience from various disciplines of Operations combined with a strong knowledge of Engineering and Regulatory Compliance.

In summary, you will be responsible for the following:
- Advise management on Engineering problems and helps production management by using engineering and continues improvement tools and techniques
- Coordination and development of Engineering team to attain the required objectives.
- Perform development dialogues, annual reviews and continues coaching of direct reports
- Monitors completion of engineering and continues improvement projects to ensure that goals and quality standards are met.
- Works positively and supportively with stakeholders throughout the organization, helping to clarify objectives, identify strategies and implementing appropriate actions.
- Provides hands-on leadership, coaching and facilitation, working with project leaders and teams, holding kaizen and other intervention events, and supporting the change.
- Coordinate activities and prioritize based on the criticality of systems to ensure quality, delivery and regulatory compliance.
- Follow good manufacturing practices for documentation (GMP/ISO 13485).
- Financial and technical analysis of production processes and implementation of improvements
- Support during new product introductions and process transfers from other business units
- Coordinate process data analysis to improve KPI’s such as rework level, scrap level, efficiency.
- Create and execute budget according to company strategy, prepares periodic or special reports on manufacturing costs, causes of variances, machine and tooling cost data, anticipated cost reductions and savings, and related matters for management information and analysis.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Experience: Minimum 5 years’ experience in related field in a Management Position
- Bilingual (Spanish/ English) Level of English: Advanced (Reading and Writing that allow fluid Presentations and/or Participation in Negotiation Processes).
- Desirable master’s degree and/or Specialized Training in applicable trade skills and project management.
