The Engineering Manager provides technical and administrative support to the Director of Engineering Services and assists in the operational management of the resort’s Engineering Department. This role helps ensure the preventative maintenance program, work order management, and day-to-day engineering operations run smoothly and safely, supporting a well-maintained property and an exceptional guest experience from the resort’s pre-opening phase onward.

Essential Functions Assist the Director of Engineering Services in the upkeep of the preventative maintenance program, including maintaining logs of work performed, scheduling, and the assignment of projects and other related tasks.

Review work orders and assign work by priority.

Maintain up-to-date inventories of heat, light & power, and repair and maintenance supplies.

Respond to guest requests.

Work with the Engineering staff on a shift basis and coordinate their activities.





Maintain a thorough understanding of Omni’s fire alarm procedures and emergency evacuation protocols.

Maintain a thorough understanding of Omni’s job scenarios.

Minimum Requirements

Bilingual in English and Spanish, with strong verbal and written communication skills in both languages.

Must have extensive HVAC and mechanical experience.

Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Must be able to work a adaptable schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Union experience preferred.

2–4 years of luxury hotel engineering experience preferred.

Previous experience at a convention service hotel preferred.

Ability to work in the interior and exterior of the hotel as needed.

Must be able to maintain a professional business appearance, attitude, and performance.

Ability to work in varying conditions, including cold, heat, humidity, precipitation, wind, noise, and vibration.
