Job Title: IT Asset Manager Location: Mexico (Remote)

Employment Type: Full-Time Key Responsibilities

Maintain an accurate inventory of all software assets, including licenses, versions, and installations.

Ensure compliance with software licensing agreements and manage renewals and audits.

Assist in software procurement, liaising with the Finance team for invoicing, billing, and maintenance of agreements in designated repositories.

Monitor software usage to identify underutilized licenses and cost-saving opportunities.

Develop and enforce software asset management policies and procedures.

Generate regular reports on software usage, compliance, and cost savings.

Maintain relationships with software vendors and manage contracts and agreements.

Provide training and support to staff on software asset management best practices.

Manage and optimize the company's software assets, ensuring compliance with licensing agreements and cost-effective software procurement and usage.

Manage cloud-based software and licensing models.

Manage Tier 1 publishers including Microsoft, Adobe, Oracle, and SAP.

Identify license cost optimization and savings opportunities.





Manage Enterprise License Programs (ELP) for major publishers and ensure compliance.

Ensure there is no non-compliance and associated risks.

Governance

Review service commitments, KPIs, and metrics.

Perform software asset audits when required.

Work with necessary teams to ensure publisher audit readiness.

Conduct pre-reviews of reports related to assets.

Identify and address policy or process violations.

Skills Required

Strong understanding of software licensing and compliance.

Excellent organizational and analytical skills.

Proficiency in SAM tools such as ServiceNow SAM Pro and Flexera.

Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.

Minimum of 3 years of experience in Software Asset Management or a related role.

Preferred

Certifications

Certification in Software Asset Management (e.g., CSAM).

ITIL 4 Foundation.
