Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Plant Manager based in Huehuetoca, MEX. The Plant Manager will oversee all manufacturing operations, driving operational excellence, safety, quality, and financial performance across the facility.

This role requires a hands-on, results-driven leader capable of optimizing production workflows, managing multi-disciplinary teams, and maintaining strict compliance with safety and environmental standards. The Plant Manager will play a pivotal role in aligning plant operations with corporate strategy, leading continuous improvement initiatives, and maximizing overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).

Key Responsibilities

- Operational Leadership, Production Optimization, Quality Assurance, and EHS Management.

Essential Functions Lead & Optimize Operations

- Direct day-to-day manufacturing operations to ensure production targets, quality standards, and delivery schedules are met.
- Establish operating budgets, manage plant P&L;, and drive continuous cost-optimization efforts.
- Foster a culture of Continuous Improvement (Lean, Six Sigma) to eliminate waste and optimize resource allocation.

Ensure Safety and Compliance

- Lead plant Safety,



Health, and Environmental (EHS) programs to guarantee a safe working environment and compliance with local regulations.
- Maintain quality management systems and uphold high standards to meet customer specifications.

Strengthen Team and Organizational Culture

- Assess plant organizational structure, workflows, and workforce development needs.
- Mentor and develop department heads and supervisors to build high-performing teams.
- Promote cross-functional collaboration between operations, supply chain, maintenance, and quality assurance.

Drive Equipment & Process Reliability

- Oversee preventive maintenance strategies to maximize equipment uptime and operational efficiency.
- Implement digital manufacturing tools and process automation where applicable to modernize plant workflows.

Qualifications

- Proven experience as a Plant Manager, General Manager, or Operations Director in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
- Strong leadership, conflict-resolution, and team development capabilities.
- In-depth knowledge of operational metrics, P&L; management, and Continuous Improvement methodologies (Lean Manufacturing, TPM, 5S).
- Excellent analytical, decision-making, and strategic planning skills.




- Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP preferred) and plant operations management tools.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Industrial, Mechanical, Chemical), Business Administration, or related fields; Master's degree or MBA is a plus.
- Fluent English and Spanish communication skills.
- Prior experience in the packaging industry (metal 3 pieces) is strongly preferred.
